The National Codification Bureau Finland is the national agency in charge of managing the codification of the Defence Forces’ materiel under the supervision of the Defence Command Logistics Division.

30.6.2026 | The Finnish Ministry of Defence, the Estonian Defence Forces, and the European AI lab for Defence NestAI have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) on 30 June 2026 to advance the development of artificial intelligence capabilities. The LOI does not include financial commitments. Instead, it establishes a framework for knowledge sharing, joint development, training, and technical cooperation.

15.6.2026 | The Finnish Defence Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) have signed an implementation Arrangement on information exchange and pre-series procurement concerning the development of Arctic armoured personnel carriers.

28.5.2026 | Finland and Latvia signed an Implementing Arrangement on the joint development of a Common Protected Vehicle (CPV) system and related technologies in Tampere on 28 May 2026. The arrangement also enables future serial procurement.

30.6.2026 | Försvarsministeriet i Finland, Estlands försvarsmakt och det finländska AI-företaget NestAI har den 30.6.2026 undertecknat en avsiktsförklaring (Letter of Intent, LOI) om utveckling av AI-förmågor. Avsiktsförklaringen innehåller inga ekonomiska åtaganden, utan syftet är att skapa ramar för kunskapsdelning, gemensam utveckling, utbildning och tekniskt samarbete.

The 1st Logistics Regiment supports the administrative units of the Defence Forces and the Border Guard in the organisation of logistics and support in all states of readiness. As a special feature, the Regiment is responsible for the storage and condition monitoring of explosive material.

The 3rd Logistics Regiment supports the administrative units of the Defence Forces and the Border Guard in the organisation of logistics and support in all states of readiness. As a special feature, the Regiment provides materiel resupply and maintenance services for military aviation.

1. Logistikregementet stöder Försvarsmaktens och Gränsbevakningsväsendets förvaltningsenheters logistik- och underhållsarrangemang i alla beredskapslägen. Till regementets specialiteter hör att upplagra explosiva varor och följa upp i hurdant skick de är.

The Logistics Command works with domestic and foreign cooperation partners on a regular basis in order to carry out its task to ensure the efficient use of the Defence Forces’ capabilities and execution of operations in all circumstances.

The 2nd Logistics Regiment supports the administrative units of the Defence Forces and the Border Guard in the organisation of logistics and support in all states of readiness. As for its special features, the Regiment conducts maintenance tasks related to the Navy’s special materiel and services involving clothing, tents and field accommodation, field provisioning and medical materiel in the Defence Forces.

Försvarsmaktens logistiksystem ingår i samarbetsnätverk som är inte bara nationellt utan också internationellt. I en modern verksamhetsmiljö förutsätts samverkan med utländska aktörer i alla beredskapslägen för att göra Försvarsmaktens verksamhet möjlig.

3. Logistikregementet stöder Försvarsmaktens och Gränsbevakningsväsendets förvaltningsenheters logistik- och underhållsarrangemang i alla beredskapslägen. Regementet har specialiserat sig på att producera kompletterings- och underhållstjänster för militär luftfart.

The Logistics Command Headquarters is responsible for the overall planning and coordination of the activities of the Command and it directs the administrative units under it.

Centret för dykmedicin som hör till Centret för militärmedicin upprätthåller de dykande specialtruppernas tjänstduglighet och tjänstgöringssäkerhet.

Logistikverket innehar en central roll för styrning och utveckling av Försvarsmaktens logistiksystem som är en helhet, där Försvarsmakten och dess samarbetspartner ingår och som gör det möjligt för Försvarsmaktens trupper att fungera och att utveckla prestationsförmågorna i alla beredskapslägen.
