The 1st Logistics Regiment

The 1st Logistics Regiment, one of the Defence Forces Logistics Command’s three logistics regiments, supports the administrative units of the Defence Forces and the Border Guard in the organisation of logistics and support in all states of readiness. The Regiment constitutes the Defence Forces’ logistics service network in eastern and southern Finland.

The Regiment stores the Defence Forces’ combat equipment and explosives for all the units of the FDF. It is also responsible for the maintenance and inspections of the equipment stored by it. As a special feature, the Regiment is responsible for the storage and condition monitoring of explosive material.

The 1st Logistics Regiment comprises a Headquarters, the East Finland Store Section, South Finland Store Section and East Finland Security Unit. The Regiment Headquarters is located in Kouvola. The Regiment operates in 15 localities. The Regiment has appr. 200 employees.
