Logistics Command to Procure Project Support for Squadron 2020 Programme from Patria

Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command has signed a contract with Patria Aviation Oy on project support expert services for the Squadron 2020 programme for years 2024 and 2025.

The services are procured from Patria Aviation Oy that is a member of Patria Group and a strategic partner of the Finnish Defence Forces.

Patria Aviation’s services are used to support the work of the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command project staff during the construction phase of the Pohjanmaa-class multi-purpose corvettes. Services include support for project management, other expertise support and engineering.

Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command is the commission unit in the Finnish Defence Forces for the four Pohjanmaa-class multi-purpose corvettes for the Finnish Navy.  The vessels are built by Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC) Oy and its subsidiary, RMC Defence Oy.

The construction work of the corvettes began in October 2024, and the keel of the first ship was laid in April 2024. In its entirety, the Squadron 2020 project will be completed by 2029.

The project support expert services contract with Patria Aviation covers the period from 1 June 2024 to 31 December 2025. Its total value is 7,5 million euros (incl. VAT 24 %). The contract includes an option for years 2026-29.
