Commander of NATO Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC), Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank, visited Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command Headquarters (FDFLOGCOM) in Tampere from 19 to 20 April 2023.

Lt Gen Sollfrank was hosted by Lieutenant General Mikko Heiskanen, Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics and Armaments of the Finnish Defence Forces and Major General Jari Mikkonen, Chief of the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command. During the visit, the impact of Finnish NATO membership on Finnish Defence Forces logistics and the military logistics cooperation between Finland and the alliance were discussed.

Located in Ulm, Germany, Nato Joint Support and Enabling Command is a static operational headquarters directly subordinated to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR). Its mission is to plan, coordinate and conduct logistics support for NATO member nations’ forces participating in alliance operations. JSEC was established in 2018. Nearly three hundred Allied soldiers and civilians from 25 NATO member countries serve at JSEC.
