Deputy Chief of Staff Operations Joint Force Command Norfolk visited Finland

Deputy Chief of Staff Operations Joint Force Command Norfolk, Major General Elisabeth Michelsen visited Finland on Monday 3 February 2025. 

During the visit Major General Michelsen discussed the characteristics of the Finnish area of operations and the co-operation between Defence command Finland and Joint Force Command Norfolk together with Deputy Chief of Staff Operations Lieutenant General Kari Nisula.

Close cooperation and common understanding of the operational environment are key elements in guaranteeing the security in the High North. Joint operational plans and frequent cooperation between the commands enables a swift joint reaction even in unforeseen situations.
